  13. First off, I'll be glad to field any comments/complaints regarding
  14. the Compendium in private E-mail or on the roundtable on GEnie CAT 2,
  15. TOP 39. I don't think that talking about it here is appropriate
  16. unless it relates to the topic on hand.

  18. As for the index, I spent several days working on it but I'll be the
  19. first to admit it's not perfect. It is, however, one of the features
  20. that people _usually_ cite as a good feature.

  22. As for the $10 for the disk... The disk isn't quite ready yet
  23. (because of circumstances I'll mention below) and when it's ready I
  24. might just upload it for free (though I'm not promising). The $10
  25. covers the basic trouble of copying, labeling, marketing, and
  26. supporting the disk. Many other books come with their disks and are
  27. either more expensive to start or are made by huge companies. My
  28. margins are already barely profitable. European customers practically
  29. get their books for free from me because otherwise their price would
  30. be astronomical. When the disk is ready, I'll announce a policy and
  31. stick with it.

  37. A week and a half ago I was offered a job at Atari Corp. and
  38. subsequently accepted. My position will be in Jaguar Developer
  39. Support and as primarily a Technical Writer. I have nothing to do
  40. with TOS or the powers that be so please don't ask me to comment (I'm
  41. too new to stick my neck out :)

  43. This does _not_ affect SDS in any way except that our address and
  44. phone #'s will change shortly (I'm moving to Sunnyvale later this
  45. week). Our current addresses and phone # will be good for a month or
  46. two more. I am still, as usual, reachable by E-mail (though don't
  47. expect a response this week).
